Xiamen Air (MF) launches Chongqing (CKG) - Manila (MNL) route

Xiamen Air has officially inaugurated nonstop round-trip service between Chongqing and Manila, adding a new link to the connectivity map between western China and the Philippines. The new route not only provides passengers in both directions with another convenient travel option, but also sends a clear signal of the continued recovery and expansion of regional demand for travel, trade and tourism.

The launch is particularly significant as Chongqing is one of inland China’s major growth engines, distinguished by its manufacturing base, logistics strength and role as a gateway to the upper Yangtze region. At the other end, Manila serves as the Philippines’ economic, financial and administrative center, as well as a key gateway to a dynamic consumer market. Establishing a direct air bridge shortens journey times and enhances the appeal of both business and leisure travel, as Xiamen Air continues to strengthen its regional network while competing directly with Air China on this city pair.

The route is operated three times weekly with Boeing 737-800 aircraft. This steady frequency allows the airline to build its market presence progressively while adding flexibility for visiting-friends-and-relatives, commercial and leisure traffic.

Chongqing is a dramatic mountain metropolis, where steep roads, vibrant districts and a bold, spicy culinary culture create a distinctive identity.
