JetBlue (B6) officially launches New York (JFK) - Houston (IAH) service

JetBlue has officially inaugurated nonstop round-trip service between New York and Houston, adding an important link to the carrier’s U.S. domestic network. The new route not only expands travel options between two major metropolitan areas, but also marks a notable move by JetBlue in a market with strong demand from both business travelers and passengers visiting friends and relatives.

This new presence creates an air bridge between one of America’s leading centers of finance, media and consumer activity and the energy capital of the South. New York provides a powerful base of corporate demand, connecting traffic and international leisure travel, while Houston serves as a key economic hub with strong pull from the oil and gas, healthcare, technology and logistics sectors. With Delta Air Lines already present on this city pair, JetBlue’s entry increases competition, broadens consumer choice and reinforces the airline’s strategic footprint on major eastern-southern U.S. corridors.

In the initial phase, JetBlue is operating one to two daily round trips between New York and Houston. The route is being served by the Airbus A320, with a gradual transition of part of the operation to the Airbus A220-300 from mid-June, reflecting a strategy that balances capacity with a next-generation cabin experience.
