Technical Issue Details
•Airbus A319-114 (C-GBHY) was performing flight RV1977 from Quebec City (YQB) to Montreal (YUL) with 129 occupants on board.
•During the climb phase following takeoff, the right-hand CFM56-5A5 engine experienced a compressor stall.
•The flight crew immediately declared an emergency to air traffic control.
Outcome / Handling
•The flight crew executed the Quick Reference Handbook (QRH) emergency procedures.
•The technical issue with the right engine was successfully resolved in flight.
•The flight continued safely to its planned destination at Montreal-Trudeau Airport (YUL) without further incidents.
Current Status
•The aircraft was temporarily taken offline for a complete engineering inspection of the powerplant.
