Technical Issue Details
Airbus A319-114 (C-GBHY) was performing flight RV1977 from Quebec City (YQB) to Montreal (YUL) with 129 occupants on board.
During the climb phase following takeoff, the right-hand CFM56-5A5 engine experienced a compressor stall.
The flight crew immediately declared an emergency to air traffic control.
